CARGO BAR – Pigneto

First time of a long series of Aperitivo in our favorite bar in Rome. The Aperitivo in Italy is an institution. It’s composed of a drink, typically a Spritz (here a ginger spritz) and by an assortment of an appetizer of our choice. Here it’s a selection of cheeses and hams.

BASILIC SAN GIOVANNI La Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano //…

La Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano // This amazing basilic is defined as the ‘mother of all the churches’ and is one of the four papal’ basilics of Rome.

I went several times insides and I feel always the same sensation of admiration. The power of Church in Rome is clearly visible and is very demonstrative. My favorite Chapel is this one attached because it is the most ethereal and feminine among the others.

Our flat is located in Via La Spezia,70 in the municipality VII San Giovanni/Cinecittà. Nearby is the antique area including the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

Just in front of our building, there is the bus station (51) and at the end of the street,  the metro station (San Giovanni) that can take us everywhere we want in the capital.
